ABSTRACT:

An example of a public policy in the field of health, which can lead to the realization of the value of self-updating the subject, is the “chronic care model” (Sandu, 2012b; Oprea, Cojocaru, Sandu, Bulgaru-Iliescu, 2013). This model focuses on patient self-care, seen as an expert in managing one’s own health. Public policies based on meeting the needs of individuals, including higher ones, emphasize the civic and political participation of the citizen whose moral agency is recognized. Dilts’s (1996) model, along with the level of environment, behavior, and abilities, includes a neurological level called the level of ideas, values, beliefs, beliefs, principles, rules, and motivations that function as conscious structures that direct reactions and behaviors in a contextual way.
