ABSTRACT:
The thesis “Producţia şi consumul filmelor seriale în era digitală” [The Production and Consumption of TV series in the Digital Era], presented at the Babeş Bolyai University of Cluj, under the coordination of Professor PhD Elena Abdrudan, is remarkable through its exceptional documentary on the use of TV series and the peculiarities of this social phenomenon, correlated with the development and widespread access to the Internet. The results obtained are of particular importance for the understanding of the social phenomenon studied from a transdisciplinary perspective, based on the specifics of the communication sciences, as well as on a pertinent sociological research, also involving a number of specific elements of marketing research. The amount of work involved in preparing the paper is impressive, and the results are in line with it, the paper reaching its research objectives.
